FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PELANGGARAN ETIKA BISNIS
Abstract
The background of this research news on the violation of business ethics, especially
the circulation of rotten eggs is rampant in almost all parts of Indonesia. This
news is more interesting because researchers also found that the sale of eggs broken
for consumption in one of the stalls in the traditional market in the town of Kediri
the biggest buyers are businessmen culinary / food. The purpose of this study was
to answer the problem formulation: (1) How is the sale of eggs broken / not fit for
consumption rated according to the theory of ethics ?; and (2) What factors are
driving sales of eggs broken / not suitable for consumption. This type of research
is descriptive because it tried to describe the view of ethical theory on the sale of
eggs broken / not worth taking to find the factors that drive the behavior of these
sales. The approach used is qualitative data collection techniques of direct
interviews with the seller, observation, and literature study. The collected data is
organized, reduced, analyzed and translated so that it can be drawn conclusions.
The results of this study can be concluded that the sale of eggs brokenĀ for
consumption is contrary to the theory of utilitarianism, deontology, and the
theory of rights, and violating the principle of honesty, openness, and mutual
benefit. The driving factors for such violations are (1) the character (the seller does
not want to be responsible in order to minimize losses), (2) lack of capital and
knowledge (the seller said he did not know about the laws of consumer protection
and the danger of the eggs were flawed and scared many broken egg will makes
losses and working capital deficiency), and (3) lack of control authorities (the seller
expects no socialization of the danger of the eggs were broken / defective and
dissemination of consumer protection laws because it had never been there)
